1956 Cat D2 Progress

I am really close to finishing the D2. There are a couple PIA's to fix and I need the lettering and want a new seat or at least the back rest for now. The covers over the adjusters/spring are being made as the ones I have are to short. I fired it up this morning and had to take it out for at least a spin around the drive/pasture. WHAT FUN I HAD!!!!

Thanks everyone......it has been a long learning experience these past several months. Everyone has been great here even with the small trivial things. If I can get to the shop sometime tomorrow I am going to call ACMOC and get the correct decals.
I am sure there are still things to be done and more questions to ask.

Nice tractor and a nice workshop too. It is always good to get a project completed.

Looking at that thermometer on the back wall it looks like it is 80 degrees in there. Got that place heated, or is it that warm over there?

CR- Looks more like ~55° to me.

Still warmer than here today (California City, CA). No fog here but I noticed the valley looked foggy on yesterdays news.

Congratulations ..........that is one great looking tractor! Not to mention the shop you have it in.
I am sure you will have alot of fun with it. And now that you have fixed it up you have an idea of how to work on them.

Echoing the thoughts of the others, you've put alot of work into that tractor and turned out a very good job. One thing, keep an eye on your track tension, they look fairly tight in the workshop so they'll probably need loosening a touch when you start to work her.

I guess my eyes are getting bad.

Can't complain about the temps but it has been damp and foggy (visibility >100') then after it burns off its overcast (visibility 1 -5 miles) for the past two weeks. Almost got lost late Friday night coming home from working on my d4 on a road that I have traveled all of my life when I had thought I had traveled further than what I had actually had.

Still better than the blizzard in the northeast.
