Default WW2 Military D42T data plates.

I am still looking for military data plates to go on my 1943 Cat D4 2T. If anyone knows of any for sale or where I can get some good pictures of them I would be very greatful.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Jim.

Hi Willie, as there are no data plates on the vehicle I dont know what is missing. I intend marking it up as a US Army combat engineers dozer .
All we found on the Cat it had the La Plante choate dozer gear and from the shipping weight found on the fuel tank we think it should have had a Hyster D4 winch fitted (it was missing but I have since bought one)
Sorry to be a bit vague, but there dose not seem to be a lot of info on militay machines.

All of the other WW2 US Army vehicles I own have data plates fitted for all kinds of reasons.

    Jim.

    Hello Sherman
I have nearly finnished my D4. I have been getting a lot of Seabees info from the USA,those guys are very helpfull. Also got stencils made up in the UK.
Send me a pm with your email address and I will send you some photos and contact addresses.
Try contacting Reading University, they hold a massive collection of documentation on plant .I hope to get up there in a few months time to research a few things.
    Cheers
