Default Mc Mobile / Cat Hauler

I've been working on my old '68 Power Wagon and finally got the '93 5.9 Cummins with a Fuller 10 speed mounted and most the bugs worked out. I also installed a low direct high Brownie box, sure makes for a quiet pleasurable drive at 70 mph on the freeway at 1,800 rpm. When towing the mighty D4 just switch it down to direct and away we go.

Here are some of the of my latest pics. Don't you just love that pretty yellow???

Hey Mike your trucks lookin good. That yellow paint with the white top looks like a So Cal Edison truck. I see you pulled up to the pumps with the big strappers. Does your Cummins have a Jake/ Pac brake on it.

I call shotgun At Tulare! So the 10 speed bolts right up to the bell housing with no problems? If so I want to put one in a dodge ram then. Oh what about the transfer box for the 4wd how did you do that?

    Thanks Guys!

D4e, I have an exhaust brake but it's still sitting on the bench. Yup it use to be a Edison Power line truck.

Rd6, NO nothing bolts right up LoL. I made a home made bell housing adapter (c pic). The transfer case is a divorced NP201.

Painter, with the tunes turned up the truck is rattle free

Here is a video taken from inside and underneath.

Wooooooooow!! That's sick! So how long did it take to make bell housing and how many hours? Where did you get all your components?

    Default 68 Power Wagon

    Hi mike
Nice work on the Power Wagon. Looks like it might have been a day or two in making!

What kind of weight are you able to haul legally with it?

rd, after getting a bell housing ring it came together pretty easy. Still took about a month to build.

ET, the front axle is a GM Dana 60. The back half is '01 F-350. Buying a totaled superduty for $1,500 (less engine, trans) was great investment. Now I have disk brakes with 3:73 instead of drum with 4:88 gears.
