Board Meeting Minutes

I would like to start out by stating that I am in no way trying to take someone position on the board or is this post directed towards one board member.What I would like to have and I think that as a paid up member since 1991 am entitled to is a copy of the board meeting minutes.I know that the report is in the magazine but I have asked for the unsanitized verison of them.Again keep in mind that I am not trying to create a hornet nest here.I am retired now and I am thinking about getting more involved with the club.I have asked for these minutes and was told that they would be sent out after they were pass in the Feburary meeting.I would also like to see a board meeting that wasn't a conference call but a face to face meeting,I do realize that with all the members being from all over this is not possible without a great expence put upon the board member.If there is a face to face meeting I would like to be told about it so If I would like to attend I would.Again let me say that I am not trying to oust anyone or cause any problems here but just wanting to see for myself the inter working of the club.I would like to thanks all the board memebers past and present for all the hard work and time they put in to make this club run smoothly.Thanks to all Mike Durkin

I asked for the December 28th minutes. On Jan. 3rd, I was told I would get them shortly, after they were approved at the Jan. 11th Meeting. As of today I still have received nothing.

Hi Mike,

Starting with the March meeting, the board approved minutes will be posted on the members only section of the website. Since the minutes are usually approved at the meeting the following month, there will always be at least a one month lag. Minutes will be left on the site until replaced by the next set of approved minutes. The board agreed at the February meeting to give this a try. We will revisit the decision in 6 months. I should also add that the minutes will be redacted of certain business information that is considered confidential in nature, however this will be minimal.

I’ve asked Jenni to email the minutes of the January meeting to you.

Regarding the face to face meeting, we tried to schedule such a meeting in April. We were unable to coordinate all of our schedules. We are planning a face to face meeting, including a board meeting, here in Peoria for September 16, 17, and 18. We will be posting this information again on the BB as the time gets nearer. We welcome member participation in this series of meetings. Several Chapter 4 members and some local members attended last time.
I’m glad you are considering becoming more involved with the club. Isn’t retirement great? I am happy to help with any questions you may have regarding the internal workings of the club and the board.

Jeff, I apologize for the delay. Jenni will be emailing the minutes to you.

I look forward to seeing both of you in Portland in August. Mike told me he is bringing tractors to display. Jeff, are you also planning to bring some equipment?

Lee,thanks for the reponse.I think that will be great that the minutes will be posted on the board.Concerning retirerment to be honest it sucks compared to working around equipment.I am looking into doing something but construction back east is dead.Looking forward to seeing you at Portland.Thanks again Mike Durkin
