What is the correct sequence for engaging/disengaging the engine to/from my pony motor with the clutch/brake and pinion lever? Thanks in advance.

Open the run/start lever on the main engine to start, this will release compression in the engine Once the pony has started and warmed, move the clutch/brake lever to the left. This will engage the brake, open the throttle on the pony and then raise the pinion lever. Move the clutch/brake lever to the right and the main should begin turning. Let it turn the main engine until the middle of the main's head reaches body temp, then flip the compression lever to run and open the throttle on the main. After the main starts, move the clutch/brake back to the right and shut the gas off, letting the pony die.
