D2 piston install The sequel

Friends, I just finished installing #4 piston and ring assembly in my D2, as I progressed they seemed to go together easier as I learned the little tricks. Everyone was installed from the bottom end using nothing but hand power to compress the rings, not that difficult!
Anyway they are torqued to spec, cotterpins installed, I cleaned up the oilpan and installed a new gasket so that will be ready to lift into place in the morning.

Bill, I thought I was going to hit the "the behold she runs day" late yesterday afternoon which turned into a damn it won't start day. I have appear to have good compression, 15 pounds of fuel pressure. It will puff smoke and act like it wants to start on ether. I didn't spend a lot of time working on it, I didn't have any antifreeze there and didn't want to water it up, I'll pick up some antifreeze , coolant her up and try it later.
I have to go to Harrisburg PA this afternoon and finish up a basement remodel my son and I are working on so we can get paid. I'll get back into it Wed when I get back.

Bill, Behold she runs 1100 hrs, April 20,2010 sounds good but I have a lot more work to do on her before she's ready for the field!
