Hi Zip,
I'm a little slow getting back....went to Santa Margarita show then had to sort out some virius issues.....as for your question the basic pony motor is the same, just some of the bolt ons are different but interchangeable.
Thanks OM, I know somebody that has a 8t pony and just wanted to make sure it would fit if I buy it. anyway did you work for cat just curious? Thanks again Zip!
Hi Zip,
No, never did work for Cat although at times it seems like it.
I should elaborate a little more on the pony motors. The main interchange snag involves the mags. The D4600 uses a horizontal mount unit (#408 Bosch if it is Bosch, also could be Eisemann). The D318 uses the #410 Bosch which sort of lays on its side. Due to the gravity operated impulse coupling latches the couplings are not the same (although the parts can be interchanged) or the pony motor cover mounting plate can be interchanged also.
Hope I haven't totally confused you....
