Darn good to see another one saved. I have a RD6, wide gauge, and it is the nicest tractor. It runs really well, was very well maintained by the original owner, was an ag Cat from California. Definitely a keeper. I'll see if I can resize my recent photo of the old gal. GWH

So I didn't resize, just used Image Shack. My cousin took this photo of me on the tractor in Jim Zimmerman's yard.

GWH, nice crane boom support for the exhaust stack ;) LOL. Actually, with all the weather you have had in Colorado, you need a fleet of Cats with blades on them. Looks good.

yes that is a good exhaust support you have there, will not bend when at top speed with that 3 cylinder engine, LOL

the cats will look even better with 4 winter freighting sleighs behind them with 10 tons a piece of freight. so that will be a payload of 40 tons.

KOO, the RD6 would more than likely be up to the task of a 40 ton load on sleds on the snow. We sure have enough snow here for that. Ugh! Very windy today, blowing the snow all over. Unpleasant.

Bruce, if I stay here, I'm going to have a blade for that D2. I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you, and considering one incomplete hydraulic unit, and have to call a friend about another potential hydraulic unit. I'd better get busy on it. GWH

George, Maybe its me but it looks like the money stick on that machine is a little modified. Maybe its is my bi-focals. You need a wood cab, Wausau V and a pot belly stove to keep you warm. Then you can start start heading out in the open range to get those cattle fed before they starve. I saw the video this am on tv. Keep those pictures coming.

tw, you know, you're right! A wood cab, etc., with plow would look just right in this horrid weather. We've got wind gusts this evening which I'll bet are at least 50 mph.

You know, Frank Buck had a D8 on e-Bay, ended a few days ago. It has a snow plow - was originally a municipal snow plow. I would have loved to own it, but frankly (no pun intended), I couldn't afford to get the thing home, and once home, I could never get it to a show. You would have to gas axe the huge V plow down the center just to get it on the truck. That tractor, with plow, represents a day-gone-by, never to return, I'm afraid.
