My iPhone is set to stay logged in and yet I keep getting kicked off and have to login again. It only takes a few pokes because of the saved password but it is still aggravating to have to login again

I just noticed the page numbers do not tell you which page you are on. Was looking for a add in the for sale section that was right after the new format. It got hard for my non focused brain to remember which page I was on as I went back page by page. Not the biggest problem, but every other format seems to highlite the number of the page you are on someway.

I have added this to the "Punch List" with a low priority rating, so it should be resolved in due course.
We have some bigger issues in the shop / membership areas which have a higher priority

Are the posted online user summaries correct? Yesterday it showed 3 members online and 323 guests and just a couple minutes ago it showed 2 members online and 220 guests online. Are those numbers correct or maybe an explanation as to what they represent???
Maybe I am not seeing the proper location for user information on the web site but I was under the impression that there was limited use for non members. Is there a page that outlines what the limits etc are for non members? Just wondering.

Hello Jim,

You raise a good question, to which at present the answer is not 100% clear to me. My understanding is as follows.
We have.....
ACMOC members, i.e. financial or paid up members, i.e. those who have paid ACMOC money in return for membership of the organisation.
Registered users of the forum, i.e. people who are not ACMOC members, but who have submitted details and registered on the forum software.
Finally we have guests, who are neither of the above two categories, just dropped by to take a look without registering.
When the statistics state "Members", my understanding is that that includes both ACMOC members and Registered users, and Guests are Guests.
Also, not everyone logs out of the system when they have finished a session and so it probable says they are "online" when they may not be.
When we get clarity on the exact detail, I will share it.
In the meantime, the planned restrictions for non ACMOC members have not yet been implemented, but I believe they will be before year end.

Best Regards, John

as wombat suggested club member, forum guest and visitor categories would work well.
to help with costs how about a prompt every say 5 posts for guests and every 10 topic views for visitors to donate $1 to help cover costs or become a financial member.

A better search engine??
Some suggestions for a better search engine on our site.
1. Allow the subject line to be modified for each posting that could also be searched in the search function by "subject" category.
2. Allow searches to be able to neglect specified words. Example {parts -(books, used)} to return parts but exclude references to books and used.

Just a couple of ideas and I am sure there are many more. Maybe a drop down menu with several choices for "subject" It would or could eliminate all the returns from a search that are not meaningful.

BOD MinutesAny idea when we can see the latest BOD Minutes? Last ones posted are for August.

Thanks

PS: Are we going to get "Smilies" or is that down the drain? Or maybe I just cannot find them?

I’m not sure about smilies. We have bigger issues to focus on at present.

Hello Jim, the last minutes posted are from the August 25th meeting. Minutes from one meeting are reviewed and approved at the following meeting. I would expect the September meeting minutes to be published soon.
The “bigger issues” I referred to are relating to the new website and are largely in the shop area.
