D8 winch ID was created by PhilC
Hello All
I cannot find any identification details on my D8 15A's logging winch.
My brother says it is a McKee winch but I can't find any info about McKee Winches or even about McKee itself.
Is McKee the correct spelling? Anybody know more about them? Do they still exist under another name?

Regards

Phil

Thank you both. I don't know how I missed that on ebay.

Looks like McKee are long gone. Hopefully they used standard seals in them as both the winch on the D8 and the one on my D6 are leaking oil.

Regards

Phil

Be aware that worm gear drives usually take a special lubricating oil to protect the bronze driven gear. That's based on my experience with industrial drives anyway, don't know a thing about McKee.
