D2 5U 970 ENGINE CLUTCH LINKAGE VERY HARD TO MOVE

Looking for some help here thanks for any information in advance. I have the inspection cover removed from above the engine clutch. I can tell the clutch release bearing is not stopped on the transmission front bearing retainer sleeve. The best I can tell without taking it loose the the rod that goes into the transmission to lock the shifter in gear. When the clutch is engaged is not stuck. It appears to BE loose. The vertical shaft on the left side of the clutch housing that controls the yoke that moves the release bearing is not froze up at the top, but I cannot tell at the bottom. I have soaked the shaft in PB blaster. There was surface rust on this shaft when I removed the cover.. Side note everything on his tractor has been a part and replaced if needed. It has about 15 hours on since completely redone. It was working fine when I parked the tractor. The tractor was only part for 2 or 3 weeks. When I went to move it and the clutch lever would not move. I have been able to move the linkage with a prybar, but it is very hard to move. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There's a lot of pivot points in there and if you have movement i would keep working them with the juice. If its rust it should free up eventually. Sounds like everything is mechanically sound, but you might want to double check everything since it sounds like you have had it apart
