Exhaust Extension Pipe for D4 7U

I recently ordered a Exhaust Extension Pipe from the ACMOC store for my D47U. Just thought I would let anyone who was thinking about getting one that it is not the correct size for a D4. The Pipe dia on the one from the store is 2 1/2" and the bolt pattern Is also 2 1/2" on center. The existing one on my D4 is a 3" pipe and 3" bolt pattern to fit the studs on the exhaust manifold. I should have called ahead and made sure that it would fit. It would be nice to have some dimensions of this item shown on the Store site or list the machines that it is designed to fit. There are no details at all about this item. I will attempt to return it and then just build a new one. Should have just built one to begin with but wanted to help support the Store. Not complaining at all. It came in the mail in a timely manner, no problems.

Hi Bruce,
The Pipe Extension is for the D4 4G through to the D4 5T which use a 2 1/2 inch pipe, the D4 7U use a 3 inch pipe as I have just made one for my 7U out of stainless steel.

All you have to do now is buy an early machine to use it on that way you would not have wasted your money.

 Regards

Daryl

Thanks Daryl, I had not thought about that. I might start looking. If I can not return it I will see if someone else can use it.

theres a idea to explain the need for buying another old cat to she who must be obeyed. whether she would buy that excuse is another matter. maybe you can horse trade it for other bits you need with another collector.

She did not buy it but I did make an attempt. Got the OK from the store to return it. Got a short piece of pipe from a local muffler shop yesterday so I can build a new one.
