Can anyone tell me the applicability (tractors/engines) for Caterpillar 9B2588 Hand Crank?

Thanks,
Joman

My local cat dealer says that number is "off the system."
I'm looking for a crank for my 1939 Twenty Eight, which is also off the dealer's system.
I haven't done any further searching yet, hoping mine will "turn up when I least expect it."

Hi Joman, you can browse the parts catalogs in the Tech Library to see what has them. Since it's a hand crank, I'd say the most likely candidates are gas-powered engines/machines, so the older gas Cats like Twenty and such, and pony-start machines that had the removable crank handle, like the D8-2U for example

9B2588, or 4H4359, is a starting engine crank, the more common uses are the 14A, 15A, D13,000 and a bunch of other engines of the era used that starting engine crank.
