1955 D8 Decal Placement

I purchased a set of decals from the online store but there were no instructions as to the exact location.  I used the serial number to order the correct set, but I was surprised to see that the decals that are still faintly visible on my machine are newer than the originals.  Is there an official location guide or something to tell a guy where to put them.  Even though it is going to be a farm work CAT cleaning up some light brush, I'd like it to look nice and have the correct decals be in the right spot.  I've sent an email to the club and perhaps they have something that they can send.
I'm headed down in a week or so when the building is done to finish getting it serviced and I'd like to put the decals on then.

Thanks, you guys have been very helpful thus far and I appreciate it. Michael

Rome, thanks for the reply and information. My D8 is a late 13A, and the decals in the pictures you sent look like what is on it now. The problem is, the decals that came from ACMOC are the earlier style. I am not sure which are correct. I provided the year and serial number when ordering the decals so I am assuming they went what is correct, and that at some point in time, the previous owner put on wrong decals. The only thing is, it looks like its never been repainted, and everything has faded uniformly.

Ok, those pics were for a the 14A that came out in "55". Yours should have the older style then I believe.

Ok great, so I have the correct decals. So can anyone upload pics of how they are supposed to be on the tractor. Mainly I am wondering how they go on the sides of the seat and the seatback. I've found pictures of the hood.

Nope, that Cat name style started in the year 1967. Michaels would be more of the late 2U series D8 decals, if they are the "caterpillar diesel" ones.

This is a Blade brochure from 11-1954, it shows the early "Caterpillar Diesel" lettering. It's the closest I could find to 1955.
