And.... a volume compressor unless you want to remove the rollers and replace the seals every time. Joys of buying old crawlers!

Welcome. You can buy an adapter for a standard grease gun for button head fittings, however, you should really consider using the 00 grease which is semi fluid. Regular grease will harden. A volume grease bucket is better, as Rome k/g mentioned, less apt to blow your seals out...
Don't be shy, show us your new tractor please! JM

Hi, G2D2.
If you can find one, the volume grease pump is WAY better than a normal grease gun for topping up track rollers and idlers - puts in a good bit more per pump at less pressure, thus less likely to blow the seals and you could be there for a while with a normal grease gun as they sometimes take a bit of filling.

Also, as Juiceman said (and I hate to admit it but he's right), the OO semi-fluid grease is better for track rollers and idlers than normal grease.

Just my 0.02

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

new button head fittings are available via the dealer for a very reasonable price if you have any damaged ones. and yes if you can get one the volume compressor is the way to go. and yes they are still available from alemite and others. not cheap though. the other way is to make an adapter with a button head coupler a relief nipple(these come in various pressure settings) and a tee piece so you can use a normal grease gun to fill the rollers with out popping the seals.

Do not allow some of the prices scare you away from a volume unit. I have been lucky enough to find several used ones for very reasonable $. The cost of the lube I purchased was more than what the greaser cost. Keep looking, or share your location; you may be able to find something nearby/cheap. JM

I got a Dewalt Elecric grease gun when they first came out, was around 130$ was Surprised to see CPO selling them for $450 now! I did look for those 5 gallon attachment's pretty cool but I already got the dewalt, fugure I can just dip an old paper grease cartrige in a 00 bucket and throw a 5/8 button head coupler on there is the 5/8th the width of the button? Mine look bigger than 5/8th wide but they are caked with mud cept for one that I can barely see upfront from the back..
Hard to find 00 grease with all the slavic tanks in action!
Thanks for all the replies!
