I have my heads back and ready to install them. Would like the torque sequence and the torque for my engine.
I have my head gaskets.
But I need part number for the small head gasket that would be the one for left side of the block,. Thank you John

Thank you Old Magnet. I had Caterpillar mobil tech check projections. The worse .003-.005 on all cylinders. .003 was one #2 cylinder. The #2 was where the head was cracked from valve all the way to injector port and up into the block causing the block to be unrepairable.
It all started with combustion leak into radiator. I was hoping for a bad injection sleeve; but it was a lot more. The radiator was the wrong one for that Cat and the core was unrepairable requiring $5000 for a new core. Then a cracked head that was junk requiring a new one. And the head for #3 and #4 cylinder that looked alright; I sent in to machine shop And it was a good thing that I did. The exhaust valves were cracked through the valve and valve springs needed replaced. And the head needed to be resurfaced.
I suppose I will receive a lot of criticism for pouring so much money in the old girl. But I could not see junking it. So I appreciate all the assistance I receive.

Hi 716thMP, Thank you for keeping 48A550 alive! I think you will find these manuals helpful and will save you time and money. The Parts Book is available in the library.
Take care to follow the instructions in the O.& M. I. especially about the final drive bearings, final drive parts are scarce!
