Chapter 2 AGM Location & Date

More

After the success of TAFFCAT 2006, the Directors of Chapter 2 have decided to continue the policy of rotating the meeting around the country and selected the Vintage Excavator Trust in Cumbria as the venue for this year's AGM - NAVVYCAT 2007 on Saturday 5th May 2007!

The VET have over 50 different vintage excavators (Navvy's) in their collection, together with a D2 5U, 933G and a D7. Local Chapter members will be able bring along their own tractors to exhibit at the AGM. A guided tour of the VET will commence at 11.00 am with the AGM starting at 2.00 pm.

Next year the AGM will be held in the Midlands, so there is a possibility of JOCKCAT or PADDYCAT in 2009 / 2010 if a suitable venue can be found.

Hi Cat 60, I may be able to get a few Dump Trucks fixed in time for the trip up to the " BIG COLD NORTH ", sadly they are only Terex so I am not expecting to get past Birmingham without at least an axle dropping off, I wonder if its worth sorting a Coach or 2 for the taffcat team then onwards collecting as they travel, its just an idea, also dont miss this Months Bill Glenns Classic Plant posting coming soon,I have some good ( THE BEST???? ) pics to put up , I am a bit concerned about the amount you can post???, as I have 20-30 cracking snaps worth posting of old bangers, and old Men,
Finally could I compliment the real Classic Plant Mag ,on a great read this month, with hardly a JCB to be seen, WELL DONE G.B.H., Lots of Lads have said to me how good this last issue was, I am going to send my well thumbed Copy to the winner of my spelling contest, (Manx Cat).
Still ripping things to bits.

Martyn, once I receive details from the VET, I will circulating a list of B&B's to all members. It would be good if a few of us can stay over on the Saturday night after the AGM for a meal and a beer, as we always seem to be in a rush to make tracks once the AGM is finished.

Martyn \ Tony - Any news on any planned events for the South West this spring?

Judging by the comments on the BB, I trust there could be demand for a "FOXCAT" AGM in Leicester in the future?

Maps \ directions will be supplied for those IH Drott and 1/2 Tractor owners who struggle with Leicester's renowned Inner Ring Road system?
