Brad Walters is the owner of Lone Star Diesel Service my local heavy equipment repair service that I have used for many years. Brad has stored my Fleco rake and my logging arch for my Hyster winch for years.
We have endured record setting high temperatures for weeks. Brad and his helper Dawson arrived at my “Shade Tree Shop” (beside my house) at 7:30 Wednesday morning to beat the afternoon heat.
Yes, this D6B was originally from New York State but it lives in Texas now.
Picture 1 – Preparing to remove the blade. Picture 2 – Swinging the rake into place. Picture 3 - Bolting it up. Picture 4 – Finished.

The Fleco named these "clearing rakes" because in sandy or loose soil they could do both the clearing and the stacking of trees.
I began using Fleco rakes in 1982. I had several projects in sandy soil that I did the clearing with rakes. I had two Fleco rakes for my D6Ds. The first one I had was an old Fleco D7 model that I bought in scrap condition and rebuilt and fitted it with push arms from a 3T D7. The second was purchased new and and was designed for a D6D with a 6A blade. The only picture I have found of that rake shows it behind the old rake on the trailer.
