I talked to AL on his way to your place. I guess he has to make a second trip to get another piece he owns out there. Al always tells me that he gets good mileage with the truck unless Bill is driving. All Bill says is the fuel card says Al Smith on it. These are some nice pictures of Al and his truck. I will be talking to him in a couple of days about moving a piece for me a lot closer to home.

What do you mean by " so called D8 ". If it isn't a D8, what is it? Pic. is dark, can't get a good look at it. catskinner

It is a td24 IH .Al was talking to someone on the way home and was telling them that he was hauling a D8 home I think he was embarassed that he had bought a TD 24. Al told me that he was going to have chapter 4 over for hot dogs and they where going to give the dog a doggy bath

The fuel tank shape is a give away on the TD24. Tell Al I heard a report the ground was "sagging in" near McHenry due to too much concentration of machinery in one location. Looks like this problem will worsen.

Not many TD-24's around. One of those ought to make a full load. A TD-24 was the first crawler I saw as a kid and I thought it must have been 20' high!! There was a good article in Red Power a few years back about someone who had restored one.
