I have an early D2 traxcavator with the loader part missing. It has a rigid bar in place of the spring would go underneath the oil pan.
I would like to take the rigid bar out and put a leaf spring in place. Friend of mine said the oil pan is different. I cannot find out if this is true.
So my question is will a leaf spring off a stock D2 fit right in place of my Rigid bar under the oil pan on my D2 traxcavator?
thanks

Take a look in the Library for the D2 Traxcavator and see what parts it's supposed to have. You'll need to pick the catalog that includes your serial number

Short answer is, no you cannot just put in the leaf spring.
The pan and track frames are different, will not work without the different pan, and different or modified track frames.
