transmission oil for small twenty?

My reprinted operators manual states use SAE 160 above 32 degrees and SAE 110 below 32 degrees. Is SAE 160 actually 160 weight transmission oil? The stuff that in it now look like 90 weight gear oil. What should I put in it? I'm getting ready to drain the transmission and finals.

All that you would need in it is TO 90 for normal operations manual & the book says 80 if below freezing. It says in very extreme hot temperatures then use 140 & this was from a 933 operators manual but should cover yours too. You didn,t say where your at but being an old twenty you probably don,t ever work it that hard so the 90 for warm weather should do the job. They keep changing old designations so maybe check with your oil supplier what takes the 90 place today or if it has changed.

I mixed some of that heavy track roller grease in the finals with the 90W and that fixed the grease spot on the tracks on my new painted tractor.
