D4D sprocket segments

The other day I was told that someone had D4D sprocket hubs that take replaceable segments just like D5 and up, is there any truth to this ? Is there any other machines out there that take segments that are the same pitch and number of teeth that match the D4D. Thanks for any info you might have.

None of the Cat literature I have which covers up in to the early 90's shows a segmented sprocket for the D4D.

I don't know if Berco would have them or not.
