2F4455W would be a 1935 model according to my book. I believe the "W" designates a wide-gauge version of the 22 (tracks 50" wide from center to center).

Hi LCM,
the tower you pictured is the engine crankcase breather.
The element just needs to be washed out with solvent and re-oiled by pouring 1/4 pint of engine oil thru it every 300 hours.
Again, grab these scans of the lube chart to your 'puter and print them out, maybe laminate and hang them on the wall of your shop for future reference.
Yep, we are all still learning how to not get confused by these confusers/'puters.
Good job on finding and cleaning out your carby passages/jets.

thankyou verry much all of you are verry helpful... i hope i can partly restore it since it is not mine it is my grandfathers... but i would like to have everything original so if i get it i can just paint it and have it look like new...

Hi lcm,
Your oil filter is the housing with about a 5 inch lid held on by the bolt on top. I am pretty sure it is an aftermarket set up as I have a similar one on my PV 15. My unit still has a Fram sticker on it. I am having trouble finding the replacement cartridge, the closest one I can find is a Napa 1006 and it is slightly shorter. I used to have a Ford 9n that had a similar looking unit but it took a Napa 1010 cartridge. Pull the lid off and take the cartridge out and see if the local part guys can run a cross on it for a replacement. Good chance the bottom of the housing is filled with sludge. Let us know what you find. Gary

)yes i pulled the filter and there wasw a little sludge in the bottom of the housing, i found the numbers... they were WIX PC-10-FP... i found mine on ebay for $10.25 with shipping, you could always google it and see what comes up... also should i replace the sparkplug wires??? if so were should i get them??? also what plugs do i get? i can't read what is on mine...

ok so i need to replace them just like on a truck? i thought i would just thought i would make shure just incase i didnt have to... and how do you determin TDC on any piston? for when i put the MAG back on??? i currently have the starter getting rebuilt so i will hopefully be back in buisness tonight...(i am tired of hand cranking... i cranked untill my hand and the crank was covered in blood...

I sure admire your determination and wish I had half your energy.
I just purchased new Autolite 3076 plugs and some steel plug wires from NAPA Auto Supply, the plugs were about $3.50 a piece and the wire was only 69 cents per foot. I don't remember how much the ends were but they were not very expensive either. If you pull the #1 plug and put your finger over the hole you should feel some air escaping when the piston is coming up on compression. When you feel that, go on the other side and look at the pulley as you turn the crank slowly and you should see the marks, you might have to scrape or sand some paint or rust to see them. My tractor is marked TC 1&4 and looks like this.
