The Operator's Manual has been copied and posted (sans lube pullout page (if I remember correctly)) for some time on the 'Caterpillar 22 Home Page'. The URL's are below. I dutifully downloaded and printed the manual before finally purchasing an original on ebay (from Bob Lavoie's lady friend- again, if I remember correctly). The manual was scanned pages, but it worked!

i got a 12v 4.5-9psi today and it is running from under the tank through a fuel filter to the pump that has another fuel pump in it and out the other side i have plenty of flow... :(

I'm not sure what the psi of my pump is but it was too much for the carbs float and needle on my 22 because it would flood the motor sometimes. I added this adjustable pressure regulator and found a happy medium for the pressure and have been running the tractor this way for about 20 years now. If you find that your pump is too much, this might be another option.

... then i got bored and cleaned my shop...(i'm kinda spoiled we bought my grandpa's place and we live out back and built our shop as well as my g-pa had one so now my parrents have theirs and i have mine...(only bad thing is i am starting to see how bad it really is if you loose a tool:( )

Dude, you Suck!:lol::lol: When I got my first tractor my Mom & Dad wouldn't even let me work on it in the garage. I had to keep it out in the backyard and didn't even have a "shade tree" to work under. I'm Really jealous now.

Oh, by the way. Do you think your parents would ADOPT a middle aged single guy from Michigan??? I don't eat much and have very few bad habits....:lol::lol::lol:

Seriously, be careful not to mix up the Cat carb parts with your Case carb parts. That could end up like trying to put together Two Jigsaw puzzles at the same time.

If you have an Updraft carb (carb mounts under the manifold) it will just leak onto the floor unless the engine is running or you're cranking it. There should be a small drain hole with a check ball somewhere on the bottom of the carburetor to let any overflow fuel drain out. If the engine is running it will just fllood out & quit.

ok now i remember seeing a spot that i'm assuming the fuel would drain if it over flowed.

Did you try the sticky post at the top that list tractor parts or the suggested places in this thread?
Most places sell fast moving items not antiquated obsolete carb kits.

At the top of the Discussion page are threads marked "STICKY:". The one at the very top labeled "Cat Parts Sources List" includes a bunch of sources for Cat parts. Open the thread and look for The Carburetor Shop. I'm sure they'll have what you need.
