Buy a new line, because you will be going through this all again down the line. I've never had much success trying to repair steel lines, seems like once they start to leak they are pretty much shot, especially if it's been patched once already. The hard works done already, belly pans off and all cleaned up, it will save you time and money in the long run.

Damn, $305 for a new tube...

I'm gonna go ahead and get a new one however...

I just don't trust the weld job I did...

Here are some pics of the repair:

As you can see the o-ring on the adapter was hard & brittle. Makes me wish I also changed the one on the tranny pump. But with it back together & running, no leaks.

I still have one problem left. The rear belly pan, none of the bolts want to go in, they want to crossthread or they go in part way and just bind up.

I'll have to borrow a 3/4-10 tap from work and try to chase the threads.

It's tpugh putting those belly pans back on by yourself... I got the front one on ok...

Oh yeah, changed the engine oil while the pans were off, much easier to get at the filter!

No, I don't have any way to power wash at my lot...

All I cleaned up was what I needed to so I could find the leak...

If you have a small floor jack, one with one handle and 4 wheels, or a larger one also works good, put the belly pan on it and raise it up into place. A lot easier than trying to man handle it yourself. Block it good so it won't fall. Be safe. catskinner

I did use a floor jack and a piece of plywood underneath it...

Getting the pans up on the jack was chor, but now I have to take the rear one off again to fix the buggered up threads...

I can't wait until I have a shop built, lol...
