I ran across an old Caterpillar Auto Patrol in my local junk yard this weekend. I rarely find old Cat equipment in Southern AZ but I was curious about this machine and if it is rare in any way. The S/N for the machine is 6K 137 SP. The owner uses it occasionally to grade some property he owns and stated the machine ran fine with the exception of the pony motor. Does anyone know the year of this machine? Or any idea what it is worth? It was in decent shape but had the usual dings here and there from over aggressive use. He wanted to sell it but I’m sure wants way more than I’m interested in paying. Anyone have any history on this model of Cat grader?

Same 3-cyl D6600 engine as the RD6/D6
