Our chapter has about 25 active members and we encourage our members to also join the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum. We participate in two events during the year at the Museum for two weekends in June and again in October. The October event is called our “Harvest Festival” show. We use our antique Caterpillar tractors on many projects around the museum like farming operations as well as some land excavation. We also venture out some “field trips” to local dealerships, auctions, tractor shows and even some old iron scavenger hunts.
ACMOC is pleased to administer three scholarships this year: the ACMOC Scholarship, the Alan Smith Memorial Scholarship and the Glen Ghilotti Memorial Scholarship. These scholarships are available to members, children or grandchildren of members in good standing of the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club aged 25 or below who are enrolled or accepted in an accredited technical school, college or university studying agricultural studies, construction engineering, manufacturing, mechanical engineering or other heavy equipment industry fields of study.

There has been much discussion between ACMOC leadership and the show organizers with Chapter 9. It has been agreed that we all have a concern with this show location not being an existing show with its own existing attendees and infrastructure. This leads us to another agreed upon concern that the necessary spectator number needed to make this show a success might not be feasible. Shows are expensive to put on and that, coupled with today’s raising costs, ACMOC, Chapter 9 and the show organizers in Laramie, WY have all agreed that it is best to forgo a National Show in 2022. This however does not mean that the opportunity to visit Chad Enyeart's place and his collection in Laramie is gone. We will have a member’s event at Chad’s place in the future. We wish to share this with the membership so that you have time to cancel any travel plans that you may have already arranged. We are very sorry to announce this, but we feel this is what's best for the club during these challenging times.
Our fall tractor show ended the last weekend in October. All went well and we had about 15 Caterpillar tractors of various size represented in the parade. We attempted to line them up from smallest to largest. A D2 started things off and we ended the parade with the "mighty' D9. We are planning a Chapter outing to visit Chapter 16 member Bruce Gunther's yard in Long Beach on December 5th. Bruce's yard contains various amounts of interesting vintage equipment of all brands and of course has a few Caterpillars in the mix also. This is an annual event and it gets a fine turnout. We have prepped our fields and will be planting wheat on Nov 27. We are hoping for a little rain soon after. Our goal is to have a nice crop and then have a thrashing demonstration at our June show.
Chapter 16 has just elected new club officers. The following individuals have been voted in to office:
Angelo Cappos- President
Carl von Seggern-Vice Presiden
Rich Johnson- Secretary

Thank you to our past club officers.
