Our chapter has about 25 active members and we encourage our members to also join the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum. We participate in two events during the year at the Museum for two weekends in June and again in October. The October event is called our “Harvest Festival” show. We use our antique Caterpillar tractors on many projects around the museum like farming operations as well as some land excavation. We also venture out some “field trips” to local dealerships, auctions, tractor shows and even some old iron scavenger hunts.

What's Happening
Chapter 16 Information
Our fall tractor show ended the last weekend in October. All went well and we had about 15 Caterpillar tractors of various size represented in the parade. We attempted to line them up from smallest to largest. A D2 started things off and we ended the parade with the "mighty' D9. We are planning a Chapter outing to visit Chapter 16 member Bruce Gunther's yard in Long Beach on December 5th. Bruce's yard contains various amounts of interesting vintage equipment of all brands and of course has a few Caterpillars in the mix also. This is an annual event and it gets a fine turnout. We have prepped our fields and will be planting wheat on Nov 27. We are hoping for a little rain soon after. Our goal is to have a nice crop and then have a thrashing demonstration at our June show.
