That is one fine toy hauler. You are going to have a lot of folks driving along side when you have that beauty out for a drive.
Great job,
Roger

Thanks guys,I know this this is nota truck site, but since its my new antique crawler hauler I thought it would.5 year long project. We completely dissasembled this truck along with gutting the cab The sleeper was removed and sold, the frame was shortened by four feet, added Murray lowbed ramps. We also added air ride suspension, power steering,a/c decided to keep the 40/60 original spring seats. The engine is a aftercooled 335 Cummins w/Jakes,5X4 Trans, 411 rears. We built this to be driven(not to be a trailer queen) as it will be for the two local shows. When my son was hauling this to the truck show there were alot of people taking pictures goin down the road.7u Puller you know how I feel about these new trucks this is got 26,000 miles on it should have hauled on the Murray pulled by the 53.The turbo is a VT50 this the right turbo, my friend has a new T590 that would have been used in the early sixties still in box I might buy for it.My biggest regret right now,I didnt know there was enough room to stuff a 3408 and a retarder in it.There was a logger at the Yakama show that had 3408 in it works it daily.

I'll drop the D8 blade and you can take it for a test tug. It will get you tuned up on your twin stick shifting skills. It's 8'7" with no blade (cops won't meet with you only 1/2" over on each side) and weights about 42K. Would be a great drive up to Oregon.

Hey Mike, One of the drivers just got a $900.00 ticket 8'7" wide had 5 half inchchains on a 30,000 pound 938 loader. the cop red tagged him told him to put four chains where it articulates or put a hard bar on it. (no hard bar on machine) added four more chains totol of nine chains on a 30,000 pound machine. Everybody complains about the cost of moving equipment. He had his 12 wide purple weight permit, still wrote him for an inch over because where he was at. Do not go to Santa Monica

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
