D5 brake adjustment

Howdy folks

Can anyone advise me on how to adjust the steering brakes on a D5 S/N 54H240??? which is the Australian made version of the American made 84H.

Adjustment instructions:

1. Adjust brakes when pedal travel reaches 6 to 6-1/4 inches.
2. Remove guard and cover and tighten brake band adjustment nut (doesn't say how tight)
3. Loosen locknut and tighten screw underneath the tractor (steering clutch compartment) then back the screw off 1-1/2 turns and tighten locknut.
4. Now back off the nut in step 2 three turns.
That's it.......
