Recent find and purchase here in Northeast within 100 mi. 5E3562 Wide. 1 of 83 produced R2 tractor for US Army 1937. Looks to be a 22 with minor changes.
with Laplant-Choate blade. Engine loose and tractor rolls OK. Everything seems to work. Hopefully an easy runner. Even found 2 coats of OD under the yellow.

I am excited about this one, one of 2 somewhat rare tractors in my family.

Thanks for looking, the adventure continues!

Looks like electric start, or is it just lighting? It'd be easy to justify electric start to the Procurement Dept. with that blade installed.

Yes, electric start. I do have a nice set of Guide lights also to put on later.

where is the master clutch lever? I seem to remember it being on the left side on my old R2? I had enough room between the blade and radiator to crank start mine but it was tight---just used my foot many times on the crank!

Looks like the weights are missing on the roller frames.

Just under the shift lever you can see the right brake pedal pad.
Shame the original weights are missing!
Blade is probably original to the tractor!
