    Default D8 clutch question

Posting for a friend across the pond.

    Hi there,
My friend has a Caterpillar and has a problem with the clutch.

He needs to remove the clutch group to replace the plates. He would like to know if he needs to remove the engine to be able to have access to the clutch group principal. Can he disassemble the clutch group without removing the engine ?

He wonders if he could obtain the repair manual for this machine. Perhaps he could buy it from you. Perhaps you could put him in contact with someone who has the same machine and has already disassembled the clutch.

If you could help us with this problem it would be a great relief as he doesn’t know where to turn as his parts supplier in Paris, the Caterpillar agent, have been no help.
    Best wishes,
    Guy Bremond
