since we got THE ROCKET home, he feels lonely with out the ford truck that went to the island on the same cat train.

we are having a nice snow fall and freeze up, so we are thinking of going and getting the ford truck with BAD BUSINESS. so how much does the truck weigh???

I'd say that truck weighs around 10000 lbs or 5 tons.
My N600 with a 18 foot roll back weighs 11950 lbs.

I believe you said that was a one ton truck. It hard to judge the weight of the bed but I betting something between 7 and 8 thousand pounds total.

Now for the risk, I wouldn't touch that because you're the expert there and I'm here. I would hate to have life without the stories of the Kingdom.
Maybe the Monster Truck needs a run to get tires and wheels for next year.
Didn't I see some mud in some of the recent pictures, doesn't that mean ice melts?

KoO,

That Ford truck looks lonely on it's own!

1 ton, then I agree that it is probably 8000lbs. Those old trucks were built and nameplated different which is why I thought it was a 5 ton Dump.

The 1 ton Ford dump truck weighs about what OCB said it did, about 7,000 pounds. I would leave it at the air field because of the truck's low worth and the cost of getting it back to the Kingdom. It already has it's unique home and it gives the air field a bit of mystery with it being there. Once everyting is removed from the air field, the air field will just be another barren place in the great white North. Last year I sold a 1945 Ford just like it in running condition for $500. Everyone that call on the ad asked if it got good gas mileage and if it had a good radio and heater. No on all three, thank you. I am glad that it is finally out of my yard. I replaced it with a newer 1960 International dump truck. You were lucky this last time out. A pig gets fatter, a hog gets slaughtered. Don't press your luck. We want you around for your good stories.

driving on the ice. I don't like much walking on deep water let alone ice skate on it! I would hate to drop a lawn tractor in clearing a skating rink.
Heaven forbid a truck or tractor with me in it!
I know its a way of life.
I've seen "Ice Road Truckers".
But still, is the Dump truck worth it?
