I attended the show from NC. and had a wonderful time. I met lots of nice cat lovers and was in awe of the quanity and quality of cats.

My first problem occured during the dinner and auction. I felt that Don hunter did not recieve the recognition that he derserved from ACMOC for his dedication, hard work, and his investment in representing a important part of crawler history.

The second problem I have was the auction of the belt buckle #1, I felt that that should have been given to dan best as a gift from ACMOC for the use of his ranch, and that buckle#2 should have been the auction piece.

Otherwise, I would like to thank Willie, Tom, Allan, Doug, ACMOC and the Heidrick Ag History Center for all of their hard work, Time, and dedication in making THE BEST SHOW ON TRACKS possible.

PS. The show was so great I only took 1,000 pictures.

Maybe Don is an adopted cousin of mine, we have the same last name.I had a cousin here that was Don Hunter but was killed in an auto accident several years ago.I met a Hunter family camping here in NE Pa.from California a few years ago as they were passing through and stayed at this campground we were at outside of Bloomsburg Pa.next to us. Through a conversation we were the same last name, small world I guess.

Don Hunter as you can see is still alive and has a passion about crawler tractors, he was a pleasure to talk to and has a tallent in pattern making. He did not only build the 111 tractor he made all the parts for it also ie.( gears, pistons, sprockets etc.)

My only gripe with the show?

It was only 3 days. This was big enough to need 4 or 5.

Chrisco:

You comments are fair comments although misplaced. Don is one of my best friends and as I explained to him we were not going to single out any one exhibitor at the expense of all of the others, even though Don and 111 are truly exceptional.

There were others in addition to Don who moved heaven and earth to have their equipment working at the show and that is why we thanked ALL OF THE EXHIBITORS and not just Don or Dunning for putting together the mule deal. We as show organizers quietly recognized Don and others as did each of you by attending the show and by drooling while around 111. Don will be prominently featured in the show video as will Dunning and many other of the wonderful people who made this show the success that it was.

On the flip side, if that is all you have to bitch about (along with the high temperatures) we must have put on a pretty good show.

Thanks for attending.

Tom

Tom, no complaints here, not even the heat,I'd have took ten degrees hotter to have that pleasure again. I don't know everyone to thank, but do know some, and you guys for sure put on the "Best Show On Tracks". Tom,be sure and thank all from me,including Willie, the minute man. Oh,I need to thank George Howard also for answering Al Smith's cell phone,we are gettin more mileage out of that then a new set of tires,Thanks George.;) Tom as for that Buckle I'm willing to give it up for another #ered silver one if you feel someone else should have it. Thanks so much, Bob Stewart. OH,there was one thing Tom that does come to mind, how unfortunate that Dave Smith was not able to attend. Dave or prayers are with you.

yes the show was exceptional i was concearned the his work along with others might have gone by without recongnition.

I wish that this show could be semi-annual, but I know that there was a lot of uncounted hours put in by a long list of people to put this show on. I was blessed to be able to attend the show and it will be something that I will be telling my grandkids about in years to come.( see how I have no grandkids yet)

Thank you for responding Tom, I was just adding some constructive observations for the next show.
