Hello all ,,, wanted to ask ,, if there is any body {Caterpillar Club} gentleman ,,, who lives not far from Salina ,,Abilene,, in Kansas ,, West of Kansas City ?.. Who might be interrested in a good paying ,days job of putting a Cat 12G grader into a 40 ft container ? . ,, after removing cab ,,, tyres ,, and backing it in on some iron channel .. The Aussie govenment wont let me travell out to USA as yet .. Just thought i might check out this .. Or if maybe a trucker around the area ,, might give me a price to haul the 12 Cat to California ,, near Sacremento ? .. .. Thanks for any advice .. I am however wishing that i can go over there myself in month or two ,,,,,but dont look good for that now !! .. Regards pete

Maybe a trucker can haul to CA for me ,, in Aussie i think it would haul fine on a normal trailer ,, maybe wont need a heavy low-bed ? ... I have read that Aus has horribly strict rules on cleanlyness when importing anything. It might be a good idea to have it very carefully steam-cleaned before loading. Just a thought. Grant.

Describe the detail the machine needs dismantled....does it roll in?

Does the place it is at have lifting equipment available? or other supplies?

Pete, I will give you a call, I spoke with Jon, he said he would have to do the numbers, however he thinks Ro Ro would cost about the same or even less than a container by the time you pay the additional costs of getting it into a container etc. You are also importing the wrong time of year so will regardless have fumigation costs for the stink bug.
