Chapter Twenty Nine

Chapter 29 had a great weekend at the National Diesel Dirt and Turf Show, supported by Gavan Handley from WesTrac. Andy Divall brought along our club owned D9H from Veolia. A shout out to Glen Slocombe and Chapter Nineteen for their support and merchandise display. Thanks also to Kieran Sullivan, our Cleary Bros supporter who brought along the expertly restored Cat Sixty.

Together with Caterpillar, WesTrac launched the new Gen CAT 255 Compact Track Loader at the event. The first of its kind in Australia, the new Cat 255 replaces the first gen 259D3 and is powered by a Cat C2.8T engine offering 74.3 horsepower (55.4kw)

Five hundred competed in the RC model excavator challenge at the Lego construction site, 40 managed to complete the job within the three-minute time cap, well done to all who participated. The winner was Nathan C from Buronga NSW who managed a perfect run with zero mistakes in just 57 seconds!

Credit for the two Lego construction sites goes to WesTrac team member Neville, a legendary brick builder!
