Chapter 17 will have a meeting September 20, 2014 at 2 PM at Rod Herrick's Ranch, 13990 Murphy Avenue, San Martin, CA. Branch 3 of the Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association invited Chapter 17 to participate at this fall meet. Last year Chapter 17 members had a number of tractors there.

This year there will be a special showing. Chapter 17 member, Bill Mancus, will debut "3J-2". It is the oldest running Caterpillar D2 tractor. This tractor, 3J-2, has been sitting for 20 years in Bill's tractor shed. It is in original condition and has never been restored. Stop by and see a piece of Caterpillar history, "3J-2".
