Hi Neil, Rally Insurance for Australian ACMOC members is a topic I'd like to see discussed when you get a chance, unless I'm mistaken did you say that American ACMOC Members automatically have Rally Insurance provided as part of their annual membership at no extra cost?

Only a fool would assume they are automatically covered by their Farm or Business Insurance when they take one of their old Cats off farm to a old machinery Rally or get together because they say you only find out how little insurance cover you really have when you actually need it, and I'm assuming some of the new Aussie ACMOC members will currently have no form of Public Liability insurance for their old Cat(s) and this may not worry them, but it might worry our Corporate partners like Cat Inc and their Australian Dealers who are part of this group, and I assume it exposes all the members of that Chapter because there will be plenty of times Chapters 18 and 19 will meet here in Oz during the course of the year and those meetings will not be held at an official Rally where proof of Public Liability insurance is expected of attendees, or provided by the Organizers, for example the informal plowing day at Corryong, or my annual get togethers.

The expense of the insurance here in Oz can't be very high because my annual subs at the Goulburn Valley Old Machinery Club are only about $45 a year and that includes Rally Insurance for the year, so the actual insurance component must only be about $15 a year through NHMA, and playing with old Cats is a lot of fun until someone get's seriously hurt, so better to ask these questions sooner rather than later, before someone in the crowd get's brained by a flying starting bar from a back firing Gas 60, or bitten by a deadly Brown Snake like this bludger that just slithered past my back door step while I was writing this post, luckily the 12 gauge was handy and the Blue Wrens warned me it was there.

Yes Sir, d9gdon, I'll second that, this is #9 I've got already around the house and my workshop, and summer hasn't even started yet, this was a small one, only about 4 feet long, most are 5 feet, occasionally over 6 feet, all will kill you if you get bitten, and these devils are silent, you never hear them, that's why I'm always listening to the native birds around the house, particularly the little Blue Wrens, they will make a different sound when a snake is near, that's when I run for the 12 gauge, I got 3 snakes last week, one on Tuesday, 2 on Wed, all within 20 feet of the house.

Gawd Mike, surely you can save the ammo, just pick them up by the tail and crack them like a whip, break their neck, quick and cheap.

Insurance? yes it will be discussed as well as women and other manly interests.

I think we will post some of the deliberations for chapter members to have input, after all I see the Chapter being the property of the members, so should reflect the members views.
