d7-17a motor weight? was created by dancat

any clue of the 17a's motor weigth with pony motor and oil clutch bout to have to pull one tryin to get an idea of what i will need, ive been told the motor alone will weigh 8,000 any help would be greatly appreciated

gemdozer, any idea what a fitted motor weights in my D82U? The D8 bore and stroke is 5 3/4 x 8". Whats the bore and stroke on the D7? Thanks

The D7 17A is the same bore & stroke 5 3/4" X 8" as the D8 only has two less cylinders.I don,t have anything on the weight of the D8 engine.

the 2u is like d13000 --d8- 13a and the motor weight shoulb be 9000lbs.
