Question about width of 2-A blade

Can a D2 with angle blade fit into a standard garage door (say 8 feet wide)? Am interested in this very minor question because I will be looking at houses with 2-car garages, and want to know if I should expect a D2 with blade to fit into one side of the garage. My D2 is a 5U series. GWH

8' 1-1/2" wide, so with the blade angled it should be a easy fit in an 8' door.

George, if the inside dimension of the garage allows it, you could back in and then pivot the machine to swing the blade in the door at an angle. Good luck in the house hunt.

Around here a typical single car garage door on a Modern house would be 9 foot wide x 7 foot tall

Hi gang! Thanks for your responses. Two years ago I retired and moved to a townhouse in Colorado. This past June I sold the townhouse and moved into a condo that I have been renting. Now I'm starting to look for a single family home up in the mountains. I didn't know how wide a garage door would be and didn't have one nearby to measure. I might even be lucky enough to have room to build a pole barn to store my other tractors. I can always dream, can't I?

My thanks to Josh for the measurements of the blade, to Bruce for his kind thoughts and suggestion of how to get the tractor in a narrow door, and to Steve for the actual measurements of a modern garage door. Steve, I expect to see you in Woodland next year.
