Jan - your name tag idea is great. If you bring them, we can put them in the ACMOC tent and encourage people to fill them out. My name tag is one of the Club metal ones that Mary and Tricia have made up. They are very nice and fairly inexpensive. I'd encourage anyone interested to give them a call or an email and they can have one made up. I'm not sure if we can get them done in time for Tremonton, but at least you could have them for the next event you attend. There is a chance they could get them made and bring them to Tremonton, too.
Pete.

Thanks, Old-Iron-Habit......If you'd like to order a metal name badge in advance of the show in Tremonton, please order online or give us a call at the office before 3:00pm CDT Friday, 8/8, so we can have them made in time to deliver at the show. They are metal with a black back/white nameplate and include the ACMOC logo on the left. They are available with a pin or magnet closure and are 3 1/4" by 2" in size.

I have spoken to several people about joining up and traveling to and/or from Tremonton together.
Our plans are to depart Bakersfield the morning of Sunday, August 17th, pause (hopefully) in California City to pick up Daron and his wife Marianne, then travel on to St. George, Utah for Sunday night. Monday, we'll travel the rest of the way to Salt Lake City, spending the night there. We'll continue from there on to Laramie and WyoCat's house to drop off some stuff and pick up some other stuff. We'll spend Tuesday night in that area. We'll leave there Wednesday morning, as soon as WyoCat is ready to travel and hopefully be able to run together back to Salt Lake City and up to Tremonton.
There is a parade in Tremonton Wednesday night at 5:00 pm. Several of us have entered our trucks in the parade and anyone interested is welcome to join us and ride on the trucks through the parade. Technically, parade entries were supposed to be submitted by July 31st, but if anyone is interested in joining our group with their rig, I'm sure we can work something out.
We plan to depart Tremonton Sunday morning, spend the night in St. George again and be back in Bakersfield Monday afternoon. We have CB radios and cell phones for communication and can receive emails and texts along the way, too. Anyone interested in meeting up along the way and travelling together for part or all of the trip is welcome.
You can contact me at (661) 343-3691 or by email at pbloom (at) ymail (dot) com.
Pete.

I am looking forward to the show and seeing some old friends as well as meeting new ones. If anyone is traveling along I-80 going to the show or coming home please let me know if you would like to stop by my place. I am in Laramie, WY. Right along I-80. Laramie is in the south central to south eastern corner of the state.

All,
I am VERY sad
to say that my wife and I will NOT be there. I am sayng this so anyone and everyone will not be looking for me.
First off, my wife and I both are (still) working and the month of August and into September are extremely busy for her job so taking time off is next to impossible. My job is not quite as difficult to get time off but it still is difficult enough.
NOW, if I were to win the BIG lottery (I need to buy a ticket or two, huh?), then all bets are off. We would/will be there!
I had originally planned and hoped to go to the show and even be able to make a side trip to Boise ID to see my younger sister that moved there recently, BUT it is a big NO GO.
Sorry to be missing the show.
Walt

We will miss you there Walt. I was looking forward to meeting you. I also had work constraints but decided the heck with work. As we get older and time seems to move faster if we don't dig in the bucket and do some of the things in it, the bucket never empties. I got decent connections to fly out Thursday night and back Sunday morning. If you change your mind and catch a flight the car is waiting at Salt Lake.
