Here is a project we have had going for about 3 years. It took that long to get the motor loose to rebuild the motor. It is a Federal aircraft tug with a Buda motor in it. It is all wheel drive and all wheel steer.
Any one have any information on one.

Man, that's a sweet piece of equipment! I really like the cab design and styling...I've never heart something about Federal, can you tell me more, please?

When I look at this tug, the Walters AWD snow clearing vehicles come into my mind. What about HP, weight and tractif effort?

Coleman motors made some of those also. They were made for the USAF as tugs in the 1950s. The Colemans had two chevrolet cabs mated back to back. The Colemans looked very similar to the one in your picture.

The USAF contract saved the company from going out of busines. They also made a lot of 4X4 plow trucks.

It has a 525lo buda motor with a automatic tranny in it ,the tugs weight is around 33,000

What does it say on the front of the radiator? I can't make it out.

Some of these "Tugs" where used by the Air Force to tow B-47 aircraft. The company that I work for use to own one of these about twenty years ago, (bought surplus) we used it to tow DC-9 and MD-80 aircraft in and out of our hangar.

It says Federal on the radiator

Thanks for the side view Jeff. Warren over on ACME says one of the members there has the very same machine. Winter Convention was a thought, but I have my hands full trying to get this darned shop built. Friday I was plowing 20 inches of lake effect snow, today I was setting base angles in 70 degree warmth in Indiana, and tonados through the Burnett Black Hole. Siding comes next and then I start to thaw it out to lay a slab (Maybe). Board member? Thank you very kindly and sincerely. I have considered it, but thought I should have more time available before trying. I have said it before, I think you would be an asset to he club as a Board Member. You do have my vote.
