Could anyone please tell me the overall width and length of a 4J R2. I appreciate the width will vary a little depending on track shoes.
These relate to a machine with no attachments.
The operating weight would be useful info as well.
I'm in the process of acquiring a 4J R2.....yipee !!

Best I can do is a weight of 6130 lbs. and 40 inch guage to which you will have to add your track width.

Gidday Bruce and thanks for the information, wondering where you are in OZ, travelled a bit there myself.
I'm looking forward to getting the R2 home in a couple of days time. Both yourself and OM mention 40 inch gauge for the narrow version. The book I have written by Peter J. (Tim) Longfoot mentions 44 and 50 inch versions, I guess I can easily measure the gauge when I get the tractor home.
Here's a picture...She carries the serial number 4J970SP, would I be correct in assuming she was made in 1940 ?

Hi John, I asked the seller if he would do a deal if it didn't sell so that together with the one I've already got I could make one. Let us know how you get on with it since my one is pushed into the back of the workshop and at present to 22's are in front of the queue.

Hi OK, Simon, maybe if you send me your email address as a private message I could keep you updated that way rather than through this thread.
