Hello Bruce let me know if you need any pony motor related parts, got the burnt 9u moved home last weekend and it was a pony start tractor, I’m pretty sure it has the heavy fenders though. Are the light fenders like what would be on a 4R?

Hi Mschwartz, light fenders are exactly like 4-5R. Same part number. I think U-joint has me pretty well covered for starting engine parts, but I’ll definitely give a shout if I need something. Come on down if you get a chance

Thanks

BP.

Tonight we got the hydraulic reservoir and valves off. Earlier this week I got the turbo, exhaust and intake manifolds off. Next I’ll get the dash and heavy fenders off. I can detect a tiny amount of play in the cross shaft, so I’ll see about tightening the bevel gear bearings. Radiator is full of leaf cutter bee nests, so I’ll yard it off and clean it good. Here is how it sits as of this evening.

You don’t rest much do you? Lol. I’m headed to stage some iron at the Pear Fair today, I will look for the part(s) that you inquired about. JM

Hey Bruce,

You are really getting with it on the 8U! If I try something like that, I find all sorts of bolts that won't loosen or won't allow a wrench to get close to them so I spend much time getting very little made as far as progress.

By chance, do you have any harvesting events scheduled late in August? I will be about 250 miles SW of you on 23/24 August near Kimberly OR. I might have to make my way up your way after that.

Hi Jan, I’m shooting for Saturday August 31. Our crops are later this year and we have quite a bit more to cut than normal so I really don’t know what to say. You’re more than welcome to swing by either way.

Davenport vintage harvest is August 24, 25. Davenport, Wa.

Tonight I got the fenders, dash, and fender supports taken off. Harvest is near so probably won’t get much more done for awhile.
