Volvo Guy-

I am assuming the tractor drives but doesn't turn. If that is the case, the clutches are stuck together. If the one side doesn't drive, the pinion has probably been sheared.

POur kerosine/diesel into the clutch compartment and drive the machine around to stir everything up. Tie the handles back and let it soak for days/weeks. If that doesn't work, try pulling a heavy load, will hold the handle back, in an effort to break the clutch free. If that doesn't work, it is time to get the wrenches out...

Break the track.
Remove fender, Track Frame (Crib motor up). Remove brake linkages, and bolts hold final drive to tranny case. Pull final drive off. Now you have to remove the retaining bolts and oiler on the yoke, and also the linkages attached to the steering cluch handle. Remove the nut/lock washer holding clutch to shaft. Get a bar puller, possibly heat, and a hammer to remove the clutch. Use an engine valve spring compression tool to remove the clutch pack. When you get to this point, post again for thickness specs, etc. Also, make sure you replace the Thrust bearing!!!!!!!!!! (hopefully i didn't miss a step as this was all from memory)Good luck

I may have parts if you need some- <a href="This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." target="_blank">This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
