Cat 12 year? was created by ol Grump

Good morning all,

Several years ago a friend retired from logging and he still has one of his Cat 12 graders and thinking about selling it. It's a Cat 12 99E s/n 1035. According to the SNID book, they began production in 1959 and he's wondering what year mfg this would make it. I'd guessed around 1961 or so. .could anyone confirm this?

My info shows it to be an early 1960 model.
