That's strictly a home built dozer setup.....and a pretty rough one:eek:
Do recognize a few design items copied from the Holt style pattern but that's about all. Does appear that the push arms are welded to the track trucks:confused:

That's very similar to the straight blade I had on a D2. Where the blade side arms are pinned to the track frames was the wear point. Pic #1 shows where the space shouldn't be between the rear of the socket and mount pin. I described earlier the way I fixed it. Any excess looseness (both up and down as well as endwise) in that socket will make it a bear to get any smoothness in blading.

Well you guys are just full of good news.
Unless someone has a better idea, I guess I'll spin up some bushings for the blade arm, weld and grind the fixed pin back to round and make a new retaining pin to hold it all together. Maybe I can get it better than 6" lower on one side of the blade as it is now.
Oh, and I threw the track in the picture, damaging the oil filter housing. Got the track back on and the new housing will go on tonight. One thing after another, BUT if you don't think I'm having fun with all this, your crazy. Might not of said earlier, but thats GOT to be the best $500.00 I ever spent!!
Once again Thanks for all the input. Will post the end result of the repairs once I'm done.:D

Sounds like you're getting there with that problem:) . I noticed in the photos that the side panel is missing. .you might start looking for one (or both, if the other side is missing too). That piece of flat bar just won't keep the twigs, branches and other junk out. .and the generator is in a prime spot to get damaged. I guess you've already found that out with the oil filter.

If you got that D4 for $500, you did well!! Next thing you know, you'll have several of 'em. .plus the obligatory parts donor, of course. It just goes on and on. . . .
