What do you sll have that has a Caterpillar power unit in it that you would think did. My entry is a Plymouth switch engine with a D9 engine in it ( or same series. But what makes this one strange is that it came from the Allis-chalmers factory in Springfield, il.

That is cool!! I wonder if the Cat engine was an original or a retro. We had a Plymouth at our plant back in the early 70's but it was gas. Cute little rascal but it could only pull a couple of loaded cars. Thanks for posting

There was a mulch grinder at our local town yard that had a C137 in it - sounded very nice when there were no chunks of wood passing through the grinder

Cheers,

I like the electric motor being used as an idler, great idea.

Besides the engine twin-disc pto, thats a second engagement method along with adjustable belt tensioner. The channel end had weights hanging from it. I should've keep that most fine example of RUBE-NESS!

Thanks! Didnt have enough cfm's for the one inch impact to remove track shoes off the 955L so I fired up the Joy, and what a joy to hear that governor kick in! lol

How about a D311 Pumping Engine. The pump was build by Pacific Pumping Co and has a 4 inch discharge with 5 inch suction.
