O man, I need several for my Cat 8T Motor Grader. I'm sure all three of my 12A Traxcavators have theirs but I'll go look.👍🤣

Those are great. The other thing we need are stamps that are in the original font that Cat used, which doesn't exactly match anything that I find online, so it might have been a font conjured by the Drafting Dept.

Neil, are you referring to the actual tractor serial number that was stamped in the tag ?

Yes sir, I haven't been able to match that font to anything. It seems like it's a mash-up of various fonts. I'll bet there was a discussion in the drafting room back in the day where everyone got to state what features they liked and then some wag put together a font that combined all those features. I'm probably wrong but that's what it seems like

Some manufacturers and end user companies will actually patent the font so it can't legally be copied. A lot of rail companies did that. BNSF, CP CN etc.Cat probably did with most of theirs as well. I know the fonts used in the parts book are different to every font that I have. I have about 4000.
