its really how long is a piece of string? twice the distance from the middle to the end. or paint colours. most of our machinery is painted in a colour called whateverwasinthetin and in the big scheeme of things it really doesnt matter as long as its painted and everything works as it should.

and some times the working clothes or oily rag restoration actually looks better as it is closer to how they really were in there working life.

It all depends on your reasons for acquiring these units in the first place. Some people want 'em 'barn-fresh' or in their working clothes and some want to do full-to-factory-specs restorations. And some just want 'em to have 'em laying around the yard melting away so that they can say they have it and/or may likely never find the time or the 'drive' to restore 'em.

While I support the right of the 3rd camp to go that way, I do tend for some strange reason to support the other 2 camps more.
