Where to look for part# on crankshaft and liner?

I am trying to put together two sets of NOS parts sets consisting of: Standard crank, main & rod bearings, rods, pistons, rings, liners, and ( I think I only have one) cam. I "suspect/hope" I have matching parts (all are from same farm shop) that should fit the  early D6 I bought from the same farm. I asked herein for info on where to find parts#s on cranks/liners. To my surprise, I got no response. I do need to know these part# locations to continue. Any suggestions as to where I might look/ask next. P.S. I sure miss the parts wizard "DANA" in Sacto.

Pistons should have the markings inside the skirt, near the bottom about an inch up from the base - one side will have the "Bohnalite" maker's mark and 180 degrees from it will be the part number, seen here just behind the rod -

Bearings may or may not have the part numbers stamped into the back of the shell - I've seen them both ways.

Liners (OEM Cat factory pieces, not necessarily aftermarket) usually have the casting number somewhere on the outside, between the upper seal land area and lower o-ring seal grooves, of course.  Just have to clean and scrape until you uncover something.

If you end up with any spare 3 cylinder Cat NOS pieces available, I'd be interested in purchasing some from you.

Engine serial # 2H7063, Piston #s 1H5888. 6ea. in boxes, Liners, (6ea. in boxes) I will pull one and search where suggested by Sasquatch. Rods, 7B6225. There were 18 in boxes. Main/Rod bearings: Approx 70 in boxes. Old stuff, with the most common # 2M6499. I believe there is one unopened box 6F1933 containing all rod/main bearings for this engine. I haven't opened it up yet. I looked the 2M6499 # up (Tractorparts.com) and they work for the rod to crank bearings. The cranks crates are buried behind a ton (literally) of heavy parts like tranny gears All gears for D6, D8 plus many extras. Many still in cosmoline. It is supposed to rain for the next week so I should find the time. Anyway, thanks again for the help, progress has been made. If I can actually get these two sets done I want to start setting up sets of bearings/seals. I've been cataloging and shelving these for weeks. It seems to me I would rather sell sets than individual parts.

It was difficult to find the part# (8B0375) on a liner even though I knew where to look (thanks SASQUATCH) and when I did find it I still needed a magnifying glass to read it. I now have #s for eng., pistons, liners, and rods. Now I need to dig out a crank to find that part# to start figuring out my rod and main bearings. I found one complete (I believe) set of Standard eng. bearings consisting of: 1ea. 6F1931, 4ea. 6F1932, and one ea. of the following: 6F1933, 6H4510, and 6H4498. The box holding all this set of smaller boxes has "D8" marked on it. In looking up the part #s for my main/rod bearings for my 3 cyl. eng. build discussed above, I find some of the same part#s. "6F1931 & 6F1932" for use in both 3 and 6 cyl. engines. AM I READING THIS CORRECTLY?

Does this answer your question?
Part number, alternative part numbers, where used, how many, which machines used on and weight.
